The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust
To provide a friendly and welcoming presence to patients, visitors, and staff. Meet and Greet Volunteers help ensure that everyone entering the hospital or clinic feels supported, informed, and valued. By offering directions, answering general queries, and providing a warm reception, volunteers play a vital role in creating a positive first impression and enhancing the overall patient experience.
The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is the main provider of district general hospital services for nearly half a million people in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and mid Wales.
Our main service locations are the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford and the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in Shrewsbury, which together provide 99% of our activity.
Both hospitals provide a wide range of acute hospital services including accident & emergency, outpatients, diagnostics, inpatient medical care and critical care.
This role would suit someone who is friendly, approachable, enjoys meeting new people, and takes pride in helping others feel comfortable and supported. Volunteers must provide two references (not relatives) and may need a DBS check. You will also complete a brief health and immunisation review to ensure your safety and that of patients.
