Shop Volunteer

Does volunteering in one of our shops sound right up your street? Being part of our retail team is fun, busy and most of all rewarding.

There are so many ways to get involved from being on the shop floor stocking shelves and rails, welcoming and serving customer and for the creative making wonderful displays or if you prefer the backroom you can sort, tag and prepare donations ready for sale.

Whichever role or location suits you, you’ll help create memorable shopping experiences that raise over £1.6 million every year for our care services.

Our shop locations across Shropshire and mid-Wales are:

Bayston Hill, Bicton Heath, Bishop\'s Castle, Church Stretton, Cleobury Mortimer, Craven Arms, Ludlow, Mardol, Monkmoor, Wyle Cop, Shrewsbury Superstore and Shrewsbury Furniture Store.

Ellesmere, Llanidloes, Machynlleth, Market Drayton, Newtown, Oswestry, Welshpool, Wem and Whitchurch. 

What skills do I need?

Here are some examples of volunteer roles within our retail department.

Super sorters – love a good rummage? Got an eye for what’s hot and what’s not? We need volunteers to sort through our new donated stock so we can get it ready for sale.

Till maestros – operating the till and serving customers. Ideal, if you’re friendly, great with people and able to think on your feet.

eBay expert – We are looking for volunteers to join our eCommerce team, where we take the weirdest and most wonderful items from our shops and sell them online.
