Social Media Volunteer

Oswestry Town Musuem require support from a volunteer to help raise our profile on social media platforms. Providing regaualr updates on Facebook and our website. There is also the potential to develop our offering onto other digital platforms.

The musuem currently has some ideas about content they would like add such as a weekly new arrivals' section.

The role has alot of potential development, especially for someone with an interest in history.

About Oswestry Town Museum

The Museum is open Wednesdays and Fridays 10am until 4pm and Saturday 10am until 3pm. They collect, preserve, restore and exhibit historical artefacts and documents. The museum also provides educational faculties for children and works to encourage community involvement in the preservation of Oswestry's history.

What skills do I need?

It is important that the candidates have a strong understanding of digital marketing and are comfortable of at least managing a Facebook page and a website.

A strong interest in local history.

A creative mind capable of coming up with ideas to grow the following on the musuems digital platforms.
