Activities Volunteer for Visually Impaired Young People

Sight Loss Shropshire

Sight Loss Shropshire is a charity that supports visually impaired people of all ages living in Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.

Our charity recently started an events programme for young people aged 14-25, offering exciting activities to youngsters, such as rock climbing, pottery workshops or raft building:

Many of our young participants have additional needs.

We are looking for one or two dedicated volunteers who will support our activities with a friendly and hands-on approach.

The role will include:

• On-the-day support of events

• Set-up and clear-up of activities

• Offering refreshments and making participants feel comfortable

• Friendly communication with visually impaired young people, their family members and friends

• Supporting young people in accessing activities to maximise participation

• Support with admin and capturing the day
