Experiences for Everyone Placement - Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery

Shropshire Museums and Archives

Experiences for Everyone is a placement programme which focuses on skills building and confidence development.

The programme is for everyone but is well placed to support those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), those who are currently unemployed, anyone who needs to develop their confidence and those who would benefit from a supported opportunity to build their skills.

Over the course of eight to twelve sessions participants on the programme follow the Skills Builder Universal Framework for Essential Skills with activities tailored to their individual goals. They are supported by our experienced volunteering and engagement team at Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery.

Feedback from those on the programme shows that individuals have built confidence, improved written and verbal communication, developed teamwork and social skills and explored their interests.

The programme focuses on establishing next steps and former participants have progressed onto apprenticeships, jobs, university courses, supported internships and independent living. For anyone aged under 25 there is an opportunity to complete an Arts Award.
