Speaker Volunter

Diabetes UK

Join us and give talks to groups of people, from community groups to local companies or even in a local school. Help people to learn more about diabetes, the different types, and different ways to manage it. You\'ll also help people learn what to do if they are worried and talk a bit about how Diabetes UK can help. You fit the talks into your own time, you decide who you will speak to.

What you will be doing

- Come to a training day, which happens throughout the year either in a

- Diabetes UK office near you or online

- We will give you a presentation that you can use in your local area to start

arranging talks. You don’t need to be medically trained

- It would be great if you could give about 5 talks a year

- Present in a friendly and enthusiastic way to the people you are talking to

- Answer questions from the group. You can tell people to contact Diabetes

UK, if you can\'t answer their questions.
