Community and Fundraising Volunteer

The Group the Musical

·       help organise and support our presence at community and fundraising events

·       assist with simple tasks to keep events safe and running smoothly

·       help prepare and share promotional materials

·       support the team to promote performances and awareness activities

·       use social media or other tools to share updates (optional)

·       thank supporters and help with other small tasks as needed

·       follow organisational policies, including safeguarding

About The Group the Musical

The Group The Musical is a disability theatre academy and support service for people with disabilities in Shrewsbury and Shropshire.

What skills do I need?

Essential:

·        GCSE English and GCSE Mathematics grade C/grade 4 or above or equivalent or NVQ level 2 plus three or more GCSE subjects grade C/grade 4 or above or equivalent

·        Time management skills

·        Key business management skills

·        Good customer service skills

·        Basic administration knowledge and background

Desirable:

·        A level/level 3/post GCSE qualifications

·        Some Autism related qualification

·        Some Autism or disability awareness 

·        Willingness or ambition to take a leadership and management qualification

·        Ability to relate well to and empathise with people with disabilities 

·        Leadership skills

·        Knowledge or ambition to work in a business or charitable organisation education or support setting

·        Charity or fundraising activities and community liaison experience

Details

Fridays 5:00-7:00pm (Shrewsbury), Sunday 3:00-5:00pm (Shrewsbury) Other dates such as live performances would also be necessary.
