Oswestry Community Action (Qube)
Qube, through it's Dial-a-Ride service provides door to door transport for people without access to public transport or a car, for the people of Oswestry and the surrounding area.
The Dial-a-Ride fleet consists of a number of accessible cars and minibuses, which transport between one and 17 passengers at any one time.
Our team of volunteer drivers are provided with comprehensive drivers sheets for each shift they undertake and take the lead on ensuring the health and safety of our passengers and vehicles. Each journey, drivers are supported by a passenger assistant.
Volunteer drivers have the flexibility of working the amount of hours that suit them, with full training provided, along with the continuous support of the staff team.
Oswestry Community Action, (Qube) is a registered charity and multi-service provider of community facing wellbeing services. Our mission is to support and enhance the wellbeing and quality of life of communities in Shropshire and the bordering Welsh counties. We support people through the provision of community transport, social groups and befriending, volunteer brokering, community health awareness support and arts and culture. Our service offering has developed over time and continues to evolve in response to local need; such as rural poverty and lack of opportunities; particularly for social isolation, education and poor public transport provision.

• Honest, reliable and a good time keeper.
• Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the Dial-a-ride service.
• Have a good knowledge of the road networks in and around the town of Oswestry and surrounding area. Live within the Oswestry area.

• A full and clean driving licence.
• You wear Dial-a-Ride identification at all times.
• You agree to provide references for the role.
• You agree to undertake a DBS check.
• Commit to working as part of the Dial-a-Ride team.
